I wanted to try out a new hair workflow and I learned a lot about haircard creation and layout.
The shader is quite flexible and could theoretically be used for any kind of hair. It Uses TXAA and dithered alpha to create smooth transitions but at the cost of creating some noise and ghosting in movement.
I also worked a lot on the skin.
No scan data used except for some photos that I used as a base for the skin texture (would totaly use scans if i had any).
Presented in UE4.
The hair uses a 2k, the face another 2k and it has a 256 detail normal on there as well. The eyes use a seperate 512 texture.
